Paul The Punisher Williams defeated Kermit Cintron

Paul The Punisher Williams earned an out of the ordinary victory over Kermit Cintron on a strange Saturday night at the Home Depot Center, Carson, California. The nod was given to Williams when Cintron wasn’t allowed to continue the fight after he took a nasty tumble out in the ropes and lands his head at the ringside table early in the 4th round.

Williams was given the technical victory by a 4 round split decision where he leads 2 of the 3 judge’s scorecards. It was a blazing 1st three rounds where the two fighters had some good moments landing shots and Williams wobbled by Cintron’s good right hand. The 4th round started what it left from the 3rd round, but while they were fighting near the ringside they both got tangled and both went down. Cintron came flying-out of the ring as he tripped on William’s legs. The fight was ended when the ring officials decided not to allow Cintron to continue the fight because of neck injury. Cintron was taken out of the ring on a stretcher wearing a neck brace, though he wanted to get up and continue the fight.

It was a very competent fight for both fighters. It could go on either way but strange things happen and they can’t always be avoided. The limited punch stats show Williams landing 27 out of 207 with 20 power shots landed on Cintron. Cintron landed 29 punches out of 126 and made19 power shots that landed on Williams. It was too close and very competent fight folks. Luckily for Williams that he got the victory and maybe when the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao Mega-Fight will again fail then The Punisher could fill in the void. Strange things do happen.
